The Gros Morne Theatre Festival is seeking resumes for the following positions for its 2017 season:

 STAGE MANAGER (one position – Non-Equity) (contract dates May 8-October 1, 2017) (21 weeks) (applicants are welcome with at least 2 years’ professional experience)

CARPENTER (one position) (contract dates May 8-July 30, 2017) (12 weeks) (applicants are welcome with at least 2 years’ professional experience)

LIGHTING TECHNICIAN/IN-HOUSE LIGHTING DESIGNER/RUNNING & CHANGEOVER CREW (one position) (contract dates May 8-September 3, 2017) (professional applicants are welcome, applicants with 3rd and 4th year post secondary theatre studies in lighting and lighting design are also welcome)

SOUND TECHNICIAN/IN-HOUSE SOUND DESIGNER/RUNNING & CHANGEOVER CREW (one position) (contract dates May 8-September 3, 2017) (professional applicants are welcome, applicants with 3rd and 4th year post secondary theatre studies in lighting and lighting design are also welcome)

WARDROBE PERSON/IN-HOUSE COSTUME DESIGNER or CO-ORDINATOR (one position) (contract dates May 8-July 30, 2017) (12 weeks) (professional applicants are welcome, applicants with senior post secondary theatre studies in costumes and costumes design are also welcome)

ASSISTANT TECHNICIAN (one position) (contract dates May 8-September 3, 2017) (post secondary theatre student position)

 

 Skills Required:

-experience in a repertory theatre setting is an asset

-a valid driver’s license is required for the Carpenter and Wardrobe person positions; a valid driver’s license is an asset for all other positions

 Salary:

-to commensurate with experience (salary is based on a 40-hour work week)

approved overtime is paid as per Newfoundland Labour Standards (time and a half off in lieu with balance of overtime owing paid at end of contract at the base NL overtime rate of $16.13)

 

Other Information:

The Gros Morne Theatre Festival is a summer repertory theatre festival operated by Theatre Newfoundland Labrador.  For its 2017 season, the Festival will produce seven productions – three on its Main Stage (three new productions), three on its Second Stage (three revival productions), and a special production in commemoration of Memorial Day.  The Gros Morne Theatre Festival is in the seaside community of Cow Head, Newfoundland and Labrador, which is situated in the spectacular Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Festival provides round trip travel (by most economical method) for successful applicants.

The Festival provides shared housing in the community for company members.  A housing rental fee and housing deposit apply.
